Ben Park (Sean Kneese), a young adjunct teacher, is expecting his first child with his loving wife (Nedra Shamberger). He gets taken by surprise when a student at his new school, Trevor (Phil Kramer), reveals something to him that changes his life forever.

Okay, so I’m torn with this one… it was very predictable, but the plot was really well written. I’m always impressed when directors can cram so much into such a short amount of time and leave you feeling as though you’ve seen a complete film.

Some of the acting did make it hard for me to feel connected. For example, when Ben’s wife calls him to say she is pregnant… I just felt disconnected from that point on.

Maybe it was just that one scene that sat weird with me, but regardless of this takeaway, I’d like to see more of what Asha Rosemond has to offer because there’s a lot of potential there after this nice debut!
