“Alex (Guy Pigden) is a failed filmmaker approaching thirty who has moved back in with his parents and re-adopted his teenage lifestyle. While attending a wedding, he reconnects with Jenny (Liesha Ward Knox), an old high school friend who can both appreciate and relate to Alex’s reluctance to grow up.

But Alex is also trying to court Stephanie (Astra McLaren), someone he has had on and off again dalliances with for over a decade. As Alex and Jenny become closer, he is forced to reassess his relationship with both women and question whether or not it’s finally time for him to accept the responsibilities of adulthood… or keep running from them.”

On the surface, Older is a pretty basic story that we’ve all seen before, but I couldn’t help loving it. A down to earth story of life and not wanting to grow up. Everything about it just feels real. Almost as if I was sharing a beer with my buddy and listening to his life story or even telling him mine.

Not going to lie, going into Older my expectations were low. Mainly because I hadn’t heard of anyone before, but the acting was well above my expectations! It was an excellent ensemble of Guy Pigden, Liesha Ward Knox, and Astra McLaren. I really enjoyed them all.

Older has a rom-com vibe to it. It’s more on the drama side than the comedy side, but it still has that feel. So if you’re looking for a good movie for Valentine’s Day, this is certainly worth a watch. It’s a good cuddle up on the couch with a glass of wine type movie.

Older is now available worldwide via Amazon, Tubi and Google Play.
