OH MAN! In the wakes of COVID-19, this was the perfect movie to watch. Now, I will say, if you have high anxiety about the Coronavirus already, I would hold off on watching Contagion. This is VERY real and literally happening in our world as I write this. The virus in Contagion seemed deadlier, but it was crazy how close it was to everything happening with COVID-19. Honestly, if I was watching this movie a year or so from now, I wouldn’t believe it came out in 2011. It seems like its based off everything that is happening NOW. My mind was blown. From the panic, to people no believing it was as bad as it was, to the social distancing (I honestly thought this term was just made up over this past month), to the stores being raiding for essentials, to how fast spreading the virus was. It was way, way too real. My fiance actually decided to stop watching because it was freaking her out.

On top of all this hitting very close to home, the acting was astounding. There was big name after big name making appearances. Bryan Cranston, Laurence Fishburne, Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, and Elliot Gould… just to name a few.

Since it’s growing closer and closer to everything being shutdown and everyone being quarantined to their homes, there will be A LOT of movies being watched. Contagion would be one of my top recommendations. Although, as of today, you could honestly just watch the news. We are living out the live version…

Don’t forget to wash your hands!
