“A troubled man (George Katt) survives a suicide attempt. He calls an old friend (Waylon Payne) to rescue him in the middle of the night. Their journey is just beginning, and by daybreak, a tragedy will surface.”
Looking at the trailer and reading the synopsis, I was excited to watch Turnabout. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Turnabout had a lot of potential, but it moved too slow for me. The ending was great, but predictable. I always give movies a higher rating if the ending is unpredictable. So to me, Turnabout was just another average mystery/thriller.
If you’re looking for mysteries or thrillers to watch during quarantine, I’m sure there are better out there, but Turnabout is worth watching for the ending alone. Just be forewarned on predictability.
