“Most people know the name Nikola Tesla, but few know much about his place in modern science and technology. The Crotian scientist, who came to America with just the clothes on his back and briefly worked with Edison, was devoted solely to discovery and relinquished the role of a showman or marketeer. Which is why Tesla, the man who designed the alternating-current (AC) electric system, which is the predominant electrical system used across the world today, and generated ideas that transformed daily life and created multiple fortunes, himself died nearly penniless. Tesla’s vision was for a world free of pollution and climate problems, with energy available in abundance, free for all.”
Tesla. Like the description above says, I knew the name, but honestly knew nothing about his life. As much as I love documentaries and love learning new information, this one, unfortunately (for me), just wasn’t presented right. Teslafy Me is full of interesting and important information, but it was hard for me to digest it all. It felt more like a boring school lecture than anything else.
Because of the interesting and important information in this documentary, I’m rating it just above average. However, it was hard for me to get through and I doubt I’d watch it again.
That being said, it is worth watching once to learn all of what Nikola Tesla has done for the world we live in today. Plus it’s only a little over an hour long.
Teslafy Me is currently available to rent and buy on VOD services.
