O Pai (The Great Father) was a very pleasant surprise. When Tiago Abubakir (director/co-writer) reached out to me with his short film high school project, I’m not going to lie, I had my doubts…

But wow!

The sound mixing/sound effects could have been better and the movie did feel a bit rushed, but in a seven minute film, that’s kind of expected.

Either way, the video quality was incredible and the costumes were great. I read the whole thing was created for under $500 which is even more amazing. I honestly never imagined a high school project would be done so well. I guess I’m just picturing how my project would have gone (LOL).

Bravo, Tiago & Luiz Humberto Campos (co-writer)! These kids will be going places in the film industry and I can’t wait to see their future work.
