“Declan Holmes (Matthew King) is graduating college, a hard enough time as it is, and heading out into the real world. The loss he experiences is like nothing he has ever known before. ‘Potential Inertia‘ is the story of his journey through a very difficult time, and the relationships that can either build you up or tear you apart.”
There are so many things I love about this movie! We’ll start with it being filmed in black and white. Normally, I’m not a fan, but in this case it was perfect. Next, the soundtrack. Can I buy it somewhere?! Because I need to. It was one of the better soundtracks for a film I’ve heard in a long time.
Matthew King as Declan was really in tune with his role. Some of the acting was rough, but I get it… the movie was low budget. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t recommend watching. However, King was fantastic. I would love to see how this movie would be with a bigger budget. The screenplay was amazing. It really hits you. Potential Inertia has a message everyone should hear. I’m glad it was put in front of my face because I would’ve never had the pleasure of seeing or even knowing about it.
A kid graduating college looking for acceptance. This movie is about defining moments in our lives. The times when you either have to fight through adversity or just give up and run. Who hasn’t had these fight or flight moments? Did you fight or did you flight? Will Declan fight or will he flight? You’ll have to watch and see!
